RUSHFORD TRAIL REPORT: 2/13/08 Well winter has finally returned!! We received some much needed snow Sunday. Tuesday we got another blast from an old fashioned snow storm. Still snowing lightly this morning. We may get another round Friday if the weather people are right. The club will be grooming Friday for the upcoming weekend. You should be able to ride into the PIG ROAST Saturday at StillWater, located directly on trail 2C. Nice ride thru the bog for anyone who hasn't ridden there. We will have the NYSSA safety trailer there and are collecting canned goods for the FOOD BANK OF WNY. Bring some canned goods and recieve a dollar off admission. Pig roast from 3pm.. food till 7pm. DJ Fast Eddie from 4pm til ? After 7pm Stillwater will be serving their regular food. Lets enjoy it while we can. RUSHFORD TRAIL REPORT: 1/23/08 We received some much needed snow, trails are freezing in nicely. We will get out and groom Thurs. or friday. Some fields are a little bare with the wind blowing as it has, but otherwise should be good snow cover every where else. Also, the new Franklinville section is open. Use S33 from the Hanging Bog to access this trail. With cold temps and more occasional snow they should start setting nicely. Think Snow!!! RUSHFORD TRAIL REPORT: 12/21/07 The Rushford trails are all pretty well marked as of 12/20. There has been a change coming from Freedom. We eliminated a small portion of 3B, which used go to the Labor Day grounds. Follow S31 to the new section. This, in our opinion, is a much better ride -- open fields, less woods. It will also allow for us to get the big groomer thru this area. Some of S31 has been bulldozed and new sluce pipes installed. All in all a much better ride coming from Franklinville or Arcade. Rode thru the BOG yesterday to Belfast trails were in pretty good shape. A little wet in the woods on Macnamara Hill. Good snow cover everywhere else. Expect early season conditions. Ride Safe!! Happy Holidays to All!! RUSHFORD TRAIL REPORT: 12/18/07 Trails in the Rushford area are supposed to open the 19th. Two of our trail heads are snowplow drivers and have been busy. Please allow us a few extra days to get all the trails marked. I know everyone wants to ride, but we have sections that are not marked yet. The guys are out now and will be the next couple of days. We should be ready by the weekend!! Please be patient and thank you for your cooperation. |
